Sabah State Spell It Right Challenge 2014

Hi! It had been like a rheum of years since I had posted anything, right? Hahaha, like anyone does care. I was pretty engaged with a lot of school activities, plus I was spending a lot of my time in reading myriads of English novels. When the subject regarding of the matter of my academic performance comes to surface, I just want to have a nice guffaw, I mean a cynical one, as my grades are quite disappointing. My Additional Mathematics was like had fallen into a dark abyss.

Okay, enough about my pathetic grades.

Yeah, so I actually made it to the State Challenge of Spell It Right competition held by News Straits Times, and the RHB Bank in case you do not know. I had passed the Preliminary Round which was conducted a month ago, and I was quite ecstatic when I got in the next round, and the result had just come out last week. I had studied really hard, but not that hard enough for the competition, but sadly, I did not manage to get to pass to the final round of the state challenge. I was in the fourth batch out of ten, my number was 037. I was so close enough to make it to the next round, but I think I am not that lucky enough. We had started with 10 students, in the group, there were three of us who were representing for my school, Henrietta, Fazlin, and me. I got all the three words right but failed in the next round, which was tiebreaker between Fazlin and I since we were the only ones who left. I had misspelled the word IMPETIGO and I think it was quite fallacious. I had spelled it as IMPETIGAL because I thought the announcer had enunciated the GAL not GO. By the way, Fazlin beated me with the word TRIPTYCH which was quite paltry and she spelled it without breaking any sweat at all, because it was actually in my study list of words and probably read it, plus, I am sure that we had practised that word before. So, right after my utter losing, I just went off the stage, but then the announcer said that I was really good in spelling and he said that everyone should be enunciating and spelling their words like me, which was being much more clear and concise, not to be in rush. I was a bit proud then. Hahaha... Okay, that's all from me, I want to say more things here, but I need to be hurry because I am in school right now, and it is 6.10 PM already and I need to go to Surau, and there is prep class tonight.
